This isn’t just a concert; it is the grand culmination of the 2025/26 season\, bringing together international stars and the brightest local talent. \n\n\n\nThe Music: From Fairy Realms to Operatic Intrigue \n\n\n\nThe evening begins by stepping into the enchanted woods of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. From the famous wedding march to the skittering\, “fairy-light” strings of the overture\, it’s the perfect soundtrack for a June evening. \n\n\n\nThe mood then shifts to the wit and drama of Mozart\, featuring the Da Ponte Opéra Sextets. These are the “greatest hits” of Mozart’s most famous collaborations\, brought to life by the soaring voices of the LEF Young Singers. \n\n\n\nFinally\, prepare for the power of Beethoven. The Piano Concerto No. 3 is a tour de force—moody\, turbulent\, and ultimately triumphant. It’s a piece that demands a master at the keys\, and we have found just the person. \n\n\n\nLocal Hero Returns \n\n\n\nWe are thrilled to welcome back pianist Rowel Friers\, the winner of the St Columb’s Hall Concerto Award.
