The Midsummer Concert is the culmination of our 22/23 residency at Saint Columb’s Hall. As the YAMAHA CFX concert grand piano returns from London, the first-ever winner of the St Columb’s Hall Concerto Award will perform one of the greatest concertos ever written – Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.9 in E-flat major, ‘Jeunehomme’ – described by many as ‘one of the great wonders of the world’
In a programme dedicated to the young master composer, two members of the Young Singers Collective 2023, Ami Hewitt and Kathleen Nic Dhiarmada, return to perform two of his most celebrated and technically dazzling concert arias.
And tonight, the first-ever school in association – Lisnagelvin Primary School – will join Le Foyer des Artistes to perform two songs from Mozart’s Bastien and Bastienne, a work composed when he was just 12 years old.
